Secret note ~ You may be able to glimpse Santa in his Fire Truck Sleigh and the Classic Car Reindeer as they drive through Ocean Park to the tree. Latest news from the North Pole has him starting the journey shortly after 6 pm.
The Oyster Shell Christmas Tree is street-side, surrounding the flag pole. Santa, his Classic Car Reindeer and Fire District #1’s Holiday Lighted Super Sleigh Fire Truck will flank cars as they cruise through. Make sure your little ones have their Christmas wishes ready for Santa as he chats with everyone as they drive by!
The tree remains up through the end of the year and the Beach Barons will bring Santa back over two weekends leading to Christmas. Check back for their schedule.
The Ocean Park Area Chamber of Commerce, Beach Barons Car Club, Fire District #1, Port of Peninsula, Village Club and Pacific Seafood (they provided the oyster tubs for the tree) wish you and your loved ones a very Merry Christmas and the Best in the New Year!
Also lit with holiday spirit…the Beach Barons will place beautifully constructed trees of lights on Sheldon Field throughout the holidays!
Many organizations help to bring cheer to those in need, especially this year. Please consider helping the Toys for Peninsula Kids Program (call Fire District #1 at 360-665-4451 for info on this Firefighter’s Association sponsored event) or pick up a Rotary sponsored Christmas Angel at local banks and pharmacies. The SPCHS – Humane Society is in need as well…so many animals waiting for forever homes, but please remember, pets are not a gift but a member of the family. Call 360-642-1180 if you can help Local Food Banks always need help this time of year too. We wish you all the very best in this holiday season and a Happy New Year to follow. Stay well everyone!
