May 13, 2021 COVID – Pacific County Health Facebook Statement on changes

The state of Washington has adopted the CDC’s new mask guidance for fully vaccinated people. People who are fully vaccinated no longer need to wear masks in outdoor or indoor settings, except health care settings like hospitals, long-term care, or doctor’s offices; correctional facilities, homeless shelters, or schools. The federal order requiring masks on public transportation also still applies. Businesses retain the right to require masks in their establishments, and to ask for proof of vaccination. The governor’s office is coordinating with the Department of Health and with the Department of Labor & Industries to update all impacted mask guidance as soon as possible. It is important to remember that these changes are only for people who are fully vaccinated, meaning people who are at least two weeks past their second Pfizer or Moderna vaccine or two weeks after their single Johnson & Johnson vaccine. Getting a vaccination is the most important thing we can do to keep moving toward normalcy in Washington. We’re making great progress, and we strongly encourage everyone who is vaccine eligible to not hesitate; vaccinate. For workplace mask requirements, please check with the Department of Labor & Industries.A full list of vaccine clinics currently offered in Pacific County can be found at www.pacificcountycovid19.com
