Ocean Park is getting a Vintage Clock

Thank you to the Port of the Peninsula and Jay Personius.

The light is a little low in the pic of our clock, but each of the four faces have Ocean Park above them in gold lettering with our founding year below.

Expected here by the end of March, the Port have tentative plans to install on NW corner at Bay and Vernon in Bay Ave pedestrian upgrades currently in planning (another segment of the Beach to Bay Trail).

Some Background:
This clock was purchased with Surface Transportation Grant Funding for the Beach to Bay Trail.  The bottom of the four faces stand at 11 feet. The face is two feet in diameter. It is lighted.  It was manufactured in Cincinnati, Ohio by the oldest family owned business in the state (175 years old). There was a delay due to the flooding of their factory this winter, so it is still in Ohio, but traveling here soon. Looks like:  

It has programmable musical chimes. The Port will maintain and service.
